What to Know Before You Apply
The Middle East has emerged as a compelling nomad destination primarily for one reason: zero personal income tax across the Gulf states. When combined with modern infrastructure, strategic timezone positioning between Europe and Asia, and year-round sunshine, the region's appeal is clear.
The trade-off is cost of living — Dubai and Abu Dhabi are significantly more expensive than Southeast Asian or Latin American hubs. Social norms also differ from Western countries, and summers can be extremely hot. Still, for high-earning nomads who prioritize tax efficiency and infrastructure, the Middle East is hard to beat.
